My friend and I worked on this project together. We got the embroidery design from urbanthreads.com. I modified the design to fit what we wanted....a button tree! I bought a pack of white polymer clay and molded some buttons from it. I bought white so I could paint the buttons any color I wanted.
We used crayon tinting on the embroidery fabric to create a four season inspired button tree.
